DetailsTargets: qt3-3.3.8-7
Total Download Size: 0.00 MB Total Installed Size: 10.08 MB checking package integrity... checking for file conflicts... error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files) error: could not prepare transaction qt3: /opt/qt/bin/assistant exists in filesystem [... lots of messages like that] ---- [root@myhost ~]# pacman -Qo /opt/qt/bin/assistant /opt/qt/bin/assistant is owned by qt 3.3.8-5 ----- I found some mentions on the net that this could be related to some packages from testing, but testing is commented out in my /etc/pacman.conf. p.s. I found the pacman -Sf solution which worked for me, but I decided to report this anyway as maybe there's some kind of problem with the package that it doesn't update normally. |

Please upgrade your whole system instead of just "qt3". "qt3" is actually the same as "qt" on your system. Packages have been renamed to "qt" for Qt 4.x and "qt3" for Qt 3.x. Installing qt3 without upgrading qt will result in file conflicts.
