DetailsDescription:
The qt interface of openoffice is not working. I always get the gtk one. No go with the OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=kde method either. The kde desktop seems to be recognised as the crystal icons are selected. But just the toolkit is gtk. Additional Info: openoffice-base 2.4.0-1 qt3 3.3.8-7 gtk2 2.12.9-1 %] ldd /opt/openoffice/program/soffice.bin | grep -i gtk libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 (0xb6052000) %] ldd /opt/openoffice/program/soffice.bin | grep -i qt nothing. |

The reason to force the GTK VCL plugin is because the Qt plugin is broken. Openoffice has a bad habit in calling GTK function without initializing gtk, which means your openoffice program will crash and hang with 100% CPU usage in a loop when opening any file.
