dvdrip uses /usr/lib/libMagick.so.10 which is not longer available in in the testing version of imagemagick (6.4.0.2-1).
Maybe a new dvdrip testing package should be built against the new imagemagick.

Package versions:
dvdrip 0.98.8-2
imagemagick 6.3.8.0-2 (extra) / 6.4.0.2-1 (testing)

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install latest imagemagick from testing
2. Rip a DVD using dvdrip

Are you using the transcode in testing: transcode 1.0.6rc1-1 ?

dvdrip starts fine here. I haven't tried to rip a dvd. The binaries in the package doesn't link against imagemagick. The rest are just perl script and modules.

Jared: can you retest dvdrip with the transcode in testing?

Sorry about the delayed reply. It doesn't appear to be an issue any more.

At the time I reported the bug I didn't have the transcode from testing, so perhaps that was the issue.
