DetailsDescription:
If any of the configuration files are changed, excluding /etc/conf.d/snort and etc/snort/snort.conf, they get overwritten on an update. This happens because backup=('etc/conf.d/snort' 'etc/snort/snort.conf') in the PKGBUILD. Additional info: I'm not sure which files should be included in the backup array. At the very least etc/snort/threshold.conf should be included. To be the most general, all the configuration files besides the rules should be included. Steps to reproduce: 1. Change /etc/snort/threshold.conf 2. Reinstall snort. |
