Any logs, backtraces, etc? What xorg-server do you use, which videodriver, etc. Please give some more information.

i am using testing repo, xorg-server version is 1.4.0.90-9. my laptop is d620 with nvidia nvs 110m, videodriver is nvidia 169.12-2.
if i use "ddd >/dev/null 2&>1", it works well.

Hello,

Lets summarize the situation :

1- You have testing repository enabled.
2- You use xorg-server 1.4.0.90-9 from extra, not from testing
3- You use proprietary nvidia driver 169.12-2 from extra, not from testing.
4- You use ddd 3.3.11-3 from extra I supose (nothing in testing for this package).
5- When you launch ddd through either the Gnome menu or the KDE menu it makes x-window crash.
6- When you launch ddd in a console with the command "ddd >/dev/null 2&>1" it works as expected with no crashes.

Is all this correct ?

As already requested by Jan can you please :

1- Provide Xorg log files just after the crash.
2- Tell if launching ddd in a console with the simple command "ddd" (with no output redirection) works. Can you please post the output from ddd ?

Thank you very much for those information !
I will try to reproduce the bug at home.
