Description: Fresh install of Arch Linux Archlinux-i686-2008.03-0.3.ftp.iso using FTP install, download and compile abs kernel 2.6.24-4.1 for PAE support for K8/Athlon64 FX2 and 64gig memory support, install. Kernel stops loading after the message Decompressing Kernel...OK
No other changes were made.

Steps to reproduce: Install Arch, compile kernel for PAE support, install kernel and reboot.

Additional comments about closing:  We can and will not fix bugs in anything but our binary packages.

Another tip: If you need more than 4MB memory, try a 64 bit operating system.
