Description: Fresh install of Arch Linux
Archlinux-i686-2008.03-0.3.ftp.iso using FTP install,
download and compile abs kernel 2.6.24-4.1 for PAE support
for K8/Athlon64 FX2 and 64gig memory support, install.
Kernel stops loading after the message Decompressing
Kernel...OK
No other changes were made. Additional info: * package version(s) Kernel 2.6.24.4-1 Arch from ABS * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Install Arch, compile kernel for PAE support, install kernel and reboot. |

Another tip: If you need more than 4MB memory, try a 64 bit operating system.
