It's definitely arch's openoffice issue. I've tested version from openoffice.org and everything runs smoothly. No errors.

Same problem here with 64 bit and with open office 2.4.0-2.

I noticed after I upgraded to 2.4.0-2 and hunspell 1.2.2-2 (along with the already installed openoffice-spell-en package) spell check is at least functional for me again (64bit). Still the same error with the Wizard though.

Same problem here trying to install dictionaries through the wizard and installing Dmaths 3.1. Running a fresh installation of Arch i686.

Same problem. A solution would be nice.

I also encountered the same problem(s) with OOo 2.4 aswell as OOo 3.0 (beta) ... in both cases only with the Arch-compiled versions. It works fine with the binary releases from www.openoffice.org.
Maybe a conflicting library (version) or patch?

Same problem, both with 2.4 and 3.0. Just about every macro script I use give a type mismatch error (AltKeyHandler, the dictionary installer, the AltSearch extension, etc.).

Dictionary and font wizards are openoffice java components if I remember correctly.
