In Arch64, with notification-daemon-xfce installed, thunar doesn't display notifications, for example when disks/usb sticks are ejected. All works fine on my 32bit laptop so this seems to be a x86_64 issue.

Problem was fixed, in my case, by manually rebuilding exo package using ABS.

Relevant packages:
exo 0.3.4-1
notification-daemon-xfce 0.3.7-2
thunar 0.9.0-2
thunar-volman 0.2.0-1 (in case this is important as well)

Steps to reproduce:
1) On a 64bit system... make sure that the above-mentioned packages are installed.
2) Mount a CD using thunar and then eject it.
3) Observe the lack of notification in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Is this fixed in newer releases? When you revompiled exo, what did you change?

I haven't seen a new version of this package yet since I filed this bug.
I haven't changed anything -- I just recompiled using the PKGBUILD from ABS.

This fixed the problem for me as well. I'm running 64-bit Arch, and I see notifications after recompiling exo (no changes to the PKGBUILD).

I would guess that the original needed to be recompiled for a new library of something... Perhaps message the maintainer and have him bump pkgrel? Is this even needed, or should it just wait for the next natural update?
