Description:

Numlock led turns on automatically when booting, concretely when loading udev rules, but I have taken a look on them and I can't see anything related to it.

Within Xorg this behaviour is the same, the led stays enabled, but numpad doesn't work. I have to press it twice to make it work, and then the led starts working as it should.

I'm using Arch 64. There is a forum topic (http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=43355) created talking about this problem.

This problem occurs on USB keyboards, not on PS/2 keyboards.

This actually has nothing to do with Xorg, it happens in a console as well.

It happens to me with a PS/2 keyboard. If I have nunlock enabled in kdm, after I login, when I press the right control key, the numlock led turns off, but the numbers still work. If I press the numlock key, then the numbers stop working. Then I press the numlock key again and numbers and led work there after.
