I've contacted the man who created that mirror for update on its future.
AFAIK there were issues with maximum size allowed for a mirror (that site contains many mirrors) that didn't allow for x86_64 mirror.
Anyway there is another (complete) Ukrainian mirror, so if x86_64 couldn't be created on linux.kiev.ua - it can be removed.

The creator of mirror has contacted the admin. I'm waiting for results.

I've kept the mirror listed as the second one for Ukraine, and added a note saying it only has i686 available. As it is up to date, I'd rather keep it if possible.

This mirror has not synced the core-i686 repo for 23 days.
Should i send an email (to whom?) or do you (Roman?) contact the admin?

I've contacted the guy who created the mirror and he said he contacted the admin (that was >1 month ago).
I think we can remove the mirror, ther's a better hell.org.ua which includes x86_64 as well.

OK, I'm going to kill this from the pacman mirrorlist.
Comment by Gerhard Brauer (GerBra) - Tuesday, 04 March 2008, 10:56 GMT
I will try to contact the admin directly. It's only the core repo which is outdated, the others are ok. Looks like a "simple"
configuration problem.
It was my fault (bad logical error in my script) that i noticed this not earlier.
If we could reanimate the mirror it's IMHO worth to have it as a second mirror for Ukraine, maybe as inofficial.

Got maybe the same answer as Roman. Webmaster informs the ftp admin again.
"I've been asked on disk space limits for Arch mirror a month or two ago, supposed it's active and should be in sync"

Let's see...

Hail the admins ;-)
Mirror is back in sync. If we could live with only i686 repos than we should walk on with.
Comment by Roman Kyrylych (Romashka) - Wednesday, 05 March 2008, 07:54 GMT
I believe most users from Ukrainian Arch Community use i686.

I would suggest:
- Let's wait until end of current week and have a close look on it.
- If no problems then we should readd it to mirrorlist. With a comment: only i686 or so. And on second position for Ukraine.
- Then we could close this ticket.

Good news - x86_64 repos are synced now!
iso/ is still outdated (it is not rsynced at all), but I've already notified admin about this, I think it will become rsynced soon.

On x86_64 the community repo is still missing
Comment by Roman Kyrylych (Romashka) - Friday, 07 March 2008, 10:50 GMT
that's because the syncing process is still running
isos will be synced after community

Looks good. All repos synced.

@Dan: please remove the "# NOTE: ftp.linux.kiev.ua only has the i686 arch and not x86_64" line from mirrorlist in CVS.
