Description:
audacity is compiled without soundtouch-suppport which makes effects like changing speed without changing tone unavailable.

soundtouch is provided in the community repository and audacity compiles fine --with-soundtouch. Is it skipped because community packages are considered not reliable enough? Otherwise I would appreciate to have this compile option and a corresponding dependency added to the package.

this can be implemented only when speedtouch is moved to extra.

you mean soundtouch of course ;-)

I am also missing the effects provided by soundtouch in audacity. Changing tempo and speed, without one affecting the other, is for me a key function. Without this enabled I have little use for audacity.

FYI: I'm thinking about implementing this. soundtouch would only be a makedepends.
