I'd like to propose some PKGBUILD changes and to remove
libol from the repos.
libol isn't used for years by the upstream author in the build process for eventlog/syslog-ng, it's just that Arch's move from the old 1.6 branch to 2.0 happened not that long ago, so it probably got overlooked. My PKGBUILD suggestions and comments for: syslog-ng - http://pastebin.archlinux.org/20365 eventlog - http://pastebin.archlinux.org/20366 |

syslog-ng is out-of-date. I think I might as well update it while we're at it. So it'll be rebuilt against the libol-less eventlog (if that makes a difference at all). I might move syslog-ng.persist out of /var as suggested in the submitted PKGBUILD. Aaron, Tobias : Any comment on that? I won't do the other minor suggested fixes unless Tobias is fine with them as he's syslog-ng's maintainer.
