DetailsDescription:
the install iso has 2 messages during boot that show intel wireless and arch addons info. Each with an accompanying delay. moving these to syslinux, viewable with f2, f3, would give people the chance to use them without having to reboot. It would also reduce boot times by 25 seconds+ in case you are using the image for debugging/repairing your system. Additional info: as seen on: Archlinux-i686-2007.10-0.3.core.iso and Archlinux-i686-2007.11-0.4.ftp additional screens can be added with "F2 file.msg" in isolinux.cfg |
