Hey, I have the newest xfce, and the panel quits when I try to remove a panel...
This is the error I get from gdb:

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x00002b7fe697558c in g_type_check_instance_cast ()
from /usr/lib/libgobject-2.0.so.0

This is really frustrating, and any help would be much appreciated, let me know if you need any more information...
Thanks, Jonny

Same issue, but this is not only for deleting, adding crashed xfce4-panel too.

Yes only way I can get it to reload is to delete the data in .cache...If I reload it via terminal it continues to segfault. I have a feeling this is a known issue upstream but haven't looked over their bug tracker yet.

I can reproduce it, but I think it is upstream too. I dun have much time at the moment to track down. Can anybody try to rebuild the lib* packages in xfce4 and the panel or maybe even run a makeworld over the xfce4 directory?

I tried rebuilding the libs and that did nothing..I haven't rebuilt every package but tried the libs.

Happens here, too (x86_64)
I checked upstream bugzilla and it is not reported there yet, so if noone overtakes me to, I am making a bug report for it tomorrow there.

xfce 4.4.2 fixes this issue..so once archs packages have been updated then this issue should be resolved. I rebuilt xfce with 4.4.2 and my issue is fixed.
