Same thing for me too.

Same here, could not upgrade - tried to -R xorg-server and nvidia-utils, but they had so many dependencies so I did not. Also rm the /usr/lib/xorg/modules/libwfb.so, but it did not help. The module is in the nvidia-utils pkg.

looks like the libwfb.so is a symlink to libnvidia-wfb if nvidia-utils is installed.

I tried letting xorg-server overwrite the nvidia-utils symlink, and I also tried renaming libwfb from xorg-server and leaving the nvidia-utils symlink in place. Doesn't seem to make a difference for me. No problems.

I reviewed the nvidia docs, and this file looks like it's related to the 8000 series of nvidia cards, something about software renderig interface. Since I have a 6800GS, I probably don't even use that file.

Thanx Greg!

That was stupid of me of not running ls -l. Running rm /usr/lib/xorg/modules/libwfb.so and rm /usr/lib/xorg/modules/libnvidia-wfb.so.100.14.11 installed all upgrades from testing ok.

I moved libwfb.so in xorg-server to libwfb.so.1.4 and link it to libwfb.so. Once installing or upgrading testing/nvidia-utils-100.14.19-2, that will update the symlink to use it's own libnvidia-wfb.so.

Please report back about success and if need be, failures. ;)
