Is it actually running on your system?

Well, hal and dbus are both up and running. And of course the volume manager is installed and configured ;) It stopped working with the update to Gnome 2.19.

It refuse to run in the system anymore, and seems caused by atk:
[ganlu@myhost ~]$ gnome-volume-manager
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "atk-bridge": libatk-bridge.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

(gnome-volume-manager:11402): Gnome-WARNING **: Accessibility: failed to find module 'libgail-gnome' which is needed to make this application accessible

(gnome-volume-manager:11402): Gnome-WARNING **: Accessibility: failed to find module 'libatk-bridge' which is needed to make this application accessible

I have a error message to show atk lack of registry (some kinds of thing, don't remember exactly), I believe the atk package should be re-checked.

"accessibility registry was not found. Please ensure AT-SPI package is installed", that's the error message everytime I log in.

libgail was missing on my system, but even after I installed it, the volume manager doesn't work.

Yes, it seems to run without any error message (after I installed at-spi and libgail-gnome), but simply doesn't function.
