Description:
System freezes (X, console, everything) from time to time (and then goes back to work) when using madwifi version 0.9.3.1.99, works fine on previous version: 0.9.3-4. To me it seems that system freezes when there are problems with association to AP (low signal). Additional info: madwifi-0.9.3.1.99 - does not work correctly madwifi-0.9.3-4 - works fine Card: PCMCIA: PLANET WL3560 (802.11g) uname -a: ----8<--------8<--------8<-------- Linux asus 2.6.22-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Aug 2 18:27:37 CEST 2007 i686 mobile AMD Athlon(tm) XP-M 2800+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux ----8<--------8<--------8<-------- lspci: ----8<--------8<--------8<-------- 00:00.0 Host bridge: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 746 Host (rev 10) 00:01.0 PCI bridge: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SG86C202 00:02.0 ISA bridge: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SiS963 [MuTIOL Media IO] (rev 25) 00:02.1 SMBus: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SiS961/2 SMBus Controller 00:02.5 IDE interface: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 5513 [IDE] 00:02.6 Modem: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] AC'97 Modem Controller (rev a0) 00:02.7 Multimedia audio controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] AC'97 Sound Controller (rev a0) 00:03.0 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 1.0 Controller (rev 0f) 00:03.1 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 1.0 Controller (rev 0f) 00:03.3 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 2.0 Controller 00:04.0 Ethernet controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SiS900 PCI Fast Ethernet (rev 90) 00:0a.0 CardBus bridge: Ricoh Co Ltd RL5c475 (rev b8) 00:0a.1 FireWire (IEEE 1394): Ricoh Co Ltd R5C551 IEEE 1394 Controller 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc M9+ 5C61 [Radeon Mobility 9200 (AGP)] (rev 01) 02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc.
