Hi there,

some days i ago i noticed that there are some security flaws in KPDF and QT. I dont know if they have been noticed by the arch devs (the packages were not updated so far), so i post them here.

KPDF security announcement + patch:
http://www.kde.org/info/security/advisory-20070730-1.txt

QT security announcement + patch:
http://trolltech.com/company/newsroom/announcements/press.2007-07-27.7503755960

I have also attached two other patches here that could be useful:

kdelibs-fix-gmail-html-elemtimpl.patch
- fixes the crash on googlemail with konqueror (cant find the original link anymore, was once on planetkde.org)

kdesdk-kompare-utf8-support.patch
- adds utf8 support to kompare (original report + patch here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123683)

And at last one suggestion. I noticed that KPDF renders big PDF files much faster when you specify --enable-multithreaded-kpdf at the configure line. From my experiences its safe to enable it, at least i had no crashes or something...

Greetings

Jan
