Please add PIC code to live-media for 64 bit. And maybe updating it to something modern?

Thanks for the update.

I've been using my own builds of live-media because at least MPlayer won't compile against it without PIC code. I'm not sure if it's an issue with VLC.

i think it's more an issue with latest gcc4.2. please try new toolchain from testing. it should fix all the raised unreal fPIC issues and report if we can keep it like it is.

I'll do as you request, but you should know that the live-media/PIC thing was going on way back. I don't remember if it was as far as GCC 4.0.x, but certainly with 4.1.x.
