I'm not sure a bug report is appropriate, especially as I
don't know the cause (and have no development experience),
but it was suggested on IRC.
A recent system upgrade brought in Thunar 0.8.0-5. Since this update a small 5-10 second hang is experienced every time Xfce is started. The splash screen says, 'loading Thunar' with no disk activity for the stated period. During this period only the Xfce panels are visable, no backdrop or icons, just black. After this small pause the system resumes & Thunar is fully operational. I have used my package cache to downgrade Thunar to version 0.8.0-4, the problem is not apparent here & everything seems fine. Let me know if you need any further information (and where to find it). |
This task depends upon
Working PKGBUILD: http://pastebin.archlinux.org/13033
The PKGBUILD again (permanent this time): http://pastebin.archlinux.org/17119
It'd be nice to see this simple change, or hear why it may not be suitable.
Thunar 0.9.0-1 is in the repos and the pastebin url (latter one which is said to be permanent) doesn't work for me.
Closure requested.
