NetworkManager and gnome-network-manager applet version 0.6.5 don't work as expected.
- Right after login, the applet notifies of a wired connection even if no ethernet cable is attached.
- When correctly connected with a wired network, if some wireless hotspot is next, the applet simply loses the wired connection but doesn't display the wireless network, so I have to disable networkmanager, reboot and manually use dhcp.

Downgrading to 0.6.4 solves the issue.

I can confirm this as well. I have also experienced the behavior described here. Downgrade to 0.6.4 fixes the problem.

It's rather upstream bug, so I recommend to report it on networkmanager ML or sth.
