Details
Sun's JRE ships with a couple of fonts (Lucida Sans, Lucida
Bright & Lucida Typewriter) in the directory
/opt/java/jre/lib/fonts, it would be a nice idea to make
them available to the rest of the system.

Reason for closing: Won't implement
Additional comments about closing: The package was moved to community, and the maintainer said this should not be implemented, as those fonts are non-free, meaning we don't know what might happen if we use them. Reopen in the community section if needed.

If they're truetype fonts, jre should store them in
/usr/share/fonts/TTF.
Yes, they're TTF fonts, and here's a patch that should move them
to /usr/share/fonts/TTF/ and update the font cache on
install/update (I stole that part from some other ttf font
package).
maybe this could happen with the move of jre out of opt in the
hopefully near future
I don't think this is a bug-report. Can someone change it to
feature request please.
