Hi!
As Thomas Esser sayd on official site of teTeX (http://www.tug.org/teTeX): > I (Thomas Esser) have decided not to make new releases of teTeX any more (May 2006). > The information below might get out of date as time goes by. > I suggest anybody interested in teTeX to join the TeX Live project. I think that good idea is replace tetex package with texlive. What do you think? |

Pls. add the above texlive-* packages to community repo.. tetex is dead and texlive is present as well as the future of TeX typesetting.
Sincerely,

that means that texlive should be moved from community to extra and to be picked up by a developer. which i am assuming is a lot of work to maintain. Firmicus is doing a great job maintaining it , but hes not a developer himself.
Maybe there could be PKGBUILDs for the packages for applications which depend on texlive rather than tetex uploaded to AUR at this point.
And once they reach extra, tetex will move to community.
