jack-audio-connection-kit 0.102.20-1 package is built without FreeBoB support. For JACK to enable FreeBoB support, libfreebob (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?do_Details=1&ID=5338) needs to be installed during compiling.

JACK will work correctly for the ALSA backend even if libfreebob won't be installed on the target machine, so compiling it with FreeBoB support won't result in adding dependency on libfreebob to the jack-audio-connection-kit package.

@Tobias: ping.
All libfreebob's dependencies are from Extra, so I think this can be implemented after signoff.

libfreebob is dead, I think and jack doesn't support the successor ...

so, "Won't Implement"?

Although there is no more development done on libfreebob, the "public" release of libffado, it's successor, still has to come. Meanwhile, FFADO developers recommend that end users with BridgeCo-based FireWire audio interfaces still use libfreebob (see http://ffado.org/?q=node/5).

JACK sure does support libffado -- that's what the "firewire" backend is there for.
