I just installed yesterday.
Out of the blue, Mozilla Firefox decided to segfault on me. This is a known issue that has been reported since June 2006 on the forums. /opt/mozilla/lib/firefox-1.5.06/run-mozilla.sh: line 131: 4117 Segmentation fault "$prog" ${1+"$@"} Error: No running window found Running firefox with local files works great. When I go to a remote website, the browser crashes before any content can be rendered -- when it says transferring data in the status bar. I can't really tell, but it actually seems like it crashes whenever the hostname gets resolved. There were no tickets out, so I decided to create on. Firefox is probably one of the most used programs, thus I am giving it a medium severity. p.s. I have no firefox extensions installed. |

Do you have the wins module listed for hosts in
/etc/nsswitch.conf?
I actually fixed this problem late last night by removing some of
the microsoft ttf font's i had manually installed by hand (off of
my wnidows mount). Using the packaged version seemed to work just
fine and FF no longer crashes.
