The skim input method in the official extra repository doesn't work after typing the command "skim" or starting it from the menu.There's something wrong with the PKGBUILD.After replacing "--prefix=/usr" with "--prefix=/opt/kde" and deleting the line that deletes the .la files,the new package built from this PKGBUILD works well.
And the corrected PKGBUILD is in the attachment.

i just checked this in Xnest in kde (not using kde usually) and you are absolutely right. thanx for reporting!

i'm right now updating the pkg... this will then hopefully help scim users using kde and having problems. ;-)
