Details
On some systems with Intel graphic cards (depending on
BIOS), modular Xorg completely blanks display making system
unusable and forcing reboot.
This bug report corresponds to that one, reported to Xorg developers: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5443 (see also its duplicate: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5201) There is a fix. Maybe Arch's Xorg maintainer could look into this. Patches are available from links above. |

Reason for closing: Fixed
Additional comments about closing: Patch from bugreport applied to xorg-server, i810 should work fine. The bugfix shows no regressions on my mga hardware, so I assume the fix doesn't have regressions on other non-i810 hardware either.
