After latest upgrade to xorg modular (xkbdata replaced by xkeyboardconfig) I got strange shift in xkb layout names in xfce4-xkb-plugin:
US -> PC
UA -> US
RU -> UA
Note that keyboard layouts are working, just their names in xfce4-xkb-plugin got shifted.
I noted that there are some changes in /usr/share/X11/xkb after xkbdata->xkeyboard-config upgrade (fro example, symbolic link to xkbcomp was added in xkeyboard-config). Maybe this caused this problem. Or maybe xfce4-xkb-plugin needs to be patched.
Can anyone with multiple xkb layouts try this with Gnome XkbSwitch or KxkbSwitch?

I guess this is a bug in the xfce plugin, as GNOME works completely fine with it. With xkbdata some keymaps didn't work or crashed the gnome-settings-daemon, with this one it works fine.

Hmmm.. but with xkbdata everything was OK. :-/
So then xfce4-xkb-plugin should be updated to work correctly with new xkeyboard-config and xorg-xkb-utils.

Please close this bug. It is gone with the latest Xfce and xorg-xkb-utils.
