Details
If I try to use the evdev driver for my mouse,
gnome-settings-daemon exits upon starting up Gnome, after a
few seconds of rapid switching between the Default GTK theme
and the one I've specified (probably Gnome trying to start
the daemon again a few times). Attempts to start it from the
terminal produce this exact message:
The program 'gnome-settings-daemon' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)'. (Details: serial 342 error_code 2 request_code 116 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
