Hi here a small feature request that collects the files, and
that other can test the files too.
chmod the script with chmod 755 before copying. copy hwdetect to /sbin/ copy rc.sysinit to /etc/ copy mkinitrd to /sbin/ copy hotplug to /etc/rc.d/ Add AUTODETECT=1 to /etc/rc.conf and load hotplug daemon's array enjoy new/faster autodetection mkinitrd now uses the hwdetect for HOSTCONTROLLER's greetings tpowa |

hotplug
hwdetect handles now also PNP devices.
saves us more time on boot \o/
For example, hwdetect knows that I need the "slamr" module for my Thinkpad modem (provided by the slmodem package). lshwd doesn't know that, b/c they haven't added that specific device to their tables yet.
