DetailsPlease add the xfsdump package to CURRENT, a necessity for full xfs-support under Arch. The xfsdump package contains important tools in addition to xfsprogs (which is in CURRENT), for example the defrag tool. The defrag tool is very important for a satisfactorily functioning xfs-filesystem as xfs has a tendency to be extremely fragmented (up to 99%!). The reason I'm requesting this to be added to CURRENT rather than EXTRA is simply because of consistency with xfsprogs.
here's a link to a discussion at the forums: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=14850&highlight=xfsdump and here's the xfs-page: http://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/ |
