Description:

gnome-screensaver ignores events from keyboard or mouse when fading to black, so you cannot prevent the screensaver from launching.

$ uname -a
Linux hyrule 2.6.35-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Aug 27 17:14:28 CEST 2010 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

$ pacman -Q xorg-server
xorg-server 1.8.1.902-1

$ pacman -Q gnome-screensaver
gnome-screensaver 2.30.0-2

$ pacman -Q gnome-desktop
gnome-desktop 2.30.2-1

Steps to reproduce:

Wait for the screensaver to start. When fading to black, move the mouse or hit any key. Nothing happens -the screen keeps fading to black and the screensaver appears.

It seems that the Ubuntu patch solved the problem for me.

It still happens with xorg-server 1.9.1 rc2. So I think it should be reported to xorg upstream.
