Description:

Various display corruption with xorg-server 1.8.1.902-1 xf86-video-intel (2.11.0-2). Downgrading to xorg-server-1.7.6-3 and
xf86-video-intel-2.10.0-1 fix the problem.

Steps to reproduce:

The problem is not always reproducible. It appears quite often when visting www.discount.com with firefox. But please note that the display corruption may appear outside the firefox window (so it cannot be a problem with this website) and does not appear by downgrading xorg-server-1.7.6-3 and xf86-video-intel-2.10.0-1 leaving other package intact (except for xf86-input-{evdev,mouse,keyboard} that need to be downgraded to work with the older xorg).

I attach a screenshot of the problem and the ouput of lspci -vv

The problem may appear when visiting www.cdiscount.com (sorry for the typo in my post).

I see this occasionally in odd places with xf86-video-intel 2.12.0, although less than with 2.11.0. It seems to happen after something fullscreen, like the screensaver.

I use KDE (self-built from subversion) with KWin compositing on, which might be relevant.

Is this still a problem with 1.9 and associated drivers?

I do not see any problem anymore with xorg-server 1.9.0-1 and intel-dri 7.8.2-3. The bug has probably be fixed upstream. Unless other people are still affected, we can perhaps close the bug
