This is a bug of gcc, not mumble.
Please reopen this bugreport. Thanks.

Not even a bug in gcc... it is a bug in boost.

could this be already fixed?
Current boost version in repos is 1.41
Latest upstream version is 1.43

I believe the problem isn't in boost 1.41. I just installed 1.43 and mumble doesn't compile with it and gcc 4.5, giving the same error as before.
This might be related to http://archives.free.net.ph/message/20100420.004530.d8466a36.en.html, so it would seem the problem is in gcc 4.5.
After installing gcc-4.3 and modifying /usr/share/qt/mkspecs/common/g++.conf to use gcc-4.3 and g++-4.3 mumble managed to compile and run.

Did you read the link from your original report? It provides a patch for boost with links to a boost SVN commit that fixes the issues. It is clearly a boost bug that get exposed by gcc-4.5.

I only skimed the text. ;) If you want a tester upload the package with the fix included anywhere or rather to testing.
Also sorry for , I didn't know that it isn't supported here. ;)

Please, bump boost or fix this issue because now boost is incompatible with current gcc and thus it is impossible to develop programs that need boost without installing the last one separately. It is very inconvinient
