Description:
The status bar api changed on gtk+2.19.1. The gimp status bar is now broken. A fix has been made in git and has been backported to 2.6. The patch is attached for the package maintainer.

Steps to reproduce:
Open an image in gimp and notice there is no zoom dropdown menu on the status bar of the image window.

I confirm the issue.

No data is ever displayed on the status bar, for example H&V pixel position when you have selected the rectangle selection tool. Or for example when you save an image, no progress bar is displayed.

Will try now the proposed patch.

Tried the patch and it is working properly, both in gimp, and gimp-devel.
