Description:
Resuming after the hibernation freezes the machine. The only option is to force shutdown by pressing the power button for 5 seconds. It was working and after an update suddenly stopped.

Is this still an issue, is your system fully up-to-date?

uniq: symbol lookup error: /lib/libc.so.6: undefined symbol: rpc_createerr, version GLIBC_2.0
sort: symbol lookup error: /lib/libc.so.6: undefined symbol: rpc_createerr, version GLIBC_2.0
date: symbol lookup error: /lib/libc.so.6: undefined symbol: rpc_createerr, version GLIBC_2.0

Something looks very, very, very wrong with your system!

I don't know what happened. One day the machine was working and it suddenly broke. I used to update my machine day by day but I don't know if the problem was related to some broken update or a subtle bug. I tried to fix this thing by myself. I have googled and even posted on Arch forum but nothing. No solutions. Because, apparently I was the only one with this problem I didn't bumped my post. This happened during a very busy period and I needed a working and reliable machine so in the end I have switched to Salix which is basically Slackware, my previous distro of choice, with extended repositories and a support for dependencies resolution. I really like Archlinux and it has been my distro of choice since 2005. But this is my workstation and I don't have much time to fix things anymore so even if I like Arch and the community I had to find something more stable. I miss AUR a little bit but SBoPKG is doing a fine job for a few packages missing in the Salix repository. Maybe one day I will switch back to Arch meanwhile I wish you all the very best.
