Description:
Sometimes, I type some text (e.g. in emesene or Vim) and just when I press the enter key, X crashes (restarting my Gnome session, since I configured GDM to log me in automatically). Once X crashed, the bug seems not to occur until the next boot.

I have an ATI 4550HD and I use the free radeon driver.
However, I assume the bug is related to neither the video card nor the video drivers, since I experienced it with my previous machine (i686, which has a nVidia video card, using proprietary drivers).

I don't know if it occurs with other DEs than Gnome.

It seems I'm not the only one who's experiencing that bug: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=84374

* config and/or log files etc.
- pretty fresh install
- no xorg.conf
- no special instruction in grub command
- I use an unusual keyboard layout (France Bepo, ergonomic, Dvorak way)
Here are the .xsession-errors.old and Xorg.0.log.old I catched just after a crash of X (due to a search command in Vim).

I stay tuned for any additional information.
