Description:
With the last kernel26 upgrade (2.6.30.6-1 -> 2.6.31.4-1) the brightness/backlight controls no longer work and it randomly changes from time to time. Additional info: The forum thread with more details: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=637967#p637967 The update log: http://www.pastebin.ca/1620546 (kernel update at 13:14) A video of what's happening: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?z4mi4uzidjn /proc/acpi/video/VGA/LCDD/brightness and /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness don't change the brigthness and aren't showing the right values (since the brightness keeps changing and I keep cat'ing the same values). xbacklight says "No outputs have backlight property". Steps to reproduce: Just boot the Arch with the kernel26 in core. Booting with kernel26-lts makes things work as before. |
