I build this one myself the other day and it needed a patch from gnome bugzilla because of a API change:

This patch is not enough - after applying it compilation succeed, but while
performing import gdl in python, you still will have exceptions. Please refer to my comments on https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=584126 - I posted additional patch there
