Description:

When I do a "dmesg" in the console or look at my /var/log/messages.log, I get a LOT of these messages:

applesmc: wait status failed: 5 != 0

Could be "gkrellm" that is asking for the sensor data that are generated with applesmc...

Additional info:
Using kernel26 "2.6.30.5-1" on a MacBook Pro 2,2...

The bug report you posted said it is fixed since 2.6.27

I know, but as it looks like, it is not, since I'm using the kernel 2.6.30...

Maybe a very similar issue that is not yet fixed?
