Description:
1. K3b does not rip a cd into flac. It always fails on the seond track 2. K3b does not rip into ogg other than at 128 kbps. Even if selected, other rates don't apply. 3. K3b does not seem to remember any settings (e.g. temp directory location) Why is it that an alpha version is in extra??? Additional info: * package version(s) 1.66.0alpha2-1 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: |

Did you bother tou check &/or report upstream bugs or you just wrote your stuff here?
For cd ripping you can use the standard audiocd:/ slave provided by kde.
To Greg: Using Kde4 is not a good reason to be included in extra. What is the concept of "testing" vs "extra"? Did I miss something?
To both of you: What I am reporting is not a bug against k3b. As Greg suggests there is bugs.kde.org for that. The real bug is against archlinux's decision to include crappy software in its supposedly "stable" repos.
Now, as usual, I'm free to rebuild the packages I need to just perform my favourite tasks.
I also encountered numerous, but random (i.e. non reproductible) full kde crashes with this alpha k3b. That adds to the "crappy side" of this version.
@All: For those who are interested, upstream bug #197632 (K3b does not rip into ogg other than at 128 kbps) has just been fixed in svn.
Still one to go...
This bug is now resolved on the k3b side.
