Description:

As you said gnome-power-manager is using devicekit and devicekit-power and because of an upstream bug or lack of functionality some actions like suspending using special keys or when lid is close, or brightness aren't working.

The solution that i have found is to compile gnome-power-manager with --enable-legacy-buttons. the fixed was tested and is working in all scenarios

Additional info:
* package version(s)
* config and/or log files etc.
gnome-power-manager 2.26.0-1

Steps to reproduce:
Upgrade and test actions that I described

Confirming. Compiling with "--enable-legacy-buttons" fixes the problem for me.
