Description:
When I start mutt to connect to my imap mail server it tries to log in and then says:

"Selecting INBOX...gdbm fatal: lseek error"

It happens to both my gmail account and my ISP's mailserver

Additional info:

According to this post [1] this problem might be related to a cache file being created by an older version and thus creating a mismatch. Could this be the problem in your case? I run mutt with the above config for a gmail account without any problems, and don't encounter it on my own mutt setup either.

That's probably it, I can't test it right now, but I believe that's it.
