Description:

Abiword crashes when we try to print. It outputs the follwing errors when we try to print when lauiched from a terminal:

** (abiword:16635): WARNING **: IPP request failed with status 1030
Aborted

then it closes

Confirmed here as well. Exactly the same problem. Apparently a problem for some time now.

Now abiword prints well. Bug is fixed.

how do you mean fixed? The latest package is still 2.6.8-1, there is no package in testing. And I personally verified this behavior with this version.
In openoffice writer printing works perfectly. (using cups)

I can still reproduce this.
I'll be compiling abiword with debug symbols and fire it up inside a debugger.

sorry for not answering you in the discussion about  bug 14872 , I wasn't connected to the net. The preferred solution to me is 2), i.e. your choice.
