So far I've found out that this bug is only present on x86_64. It seems that it's related to gstreamer as quodlibet also segfaults when playing AAc files.

I have the same problem. Disabling testing and downgrading makes aac's work again.

It works with gstreamer0.10-bad-plugins-0.10.11 (not in repo yet).

Jan: Are you planning to do this update soon? If not, I could do it as I would like to push the faad2/x264 rebuild out of testing. I guess I only have to update gstreamer0.10-bad and gstreamer0.10-bad-plugins, right? You could just put the update straight in testing. I'll take care of pushing the rebuild to extra as the vlc in testing needs to be updated.

I have some GNOME packages in testing that require the new faad2/x264. I'll update all gstreamer related packages later this week and package the final bits of GNOME 2.26, after that we should be ready for moving this all to extra, as I've only had one bugreport for GNOME 2.26 yet.

Looks like a good plan. I'll update the vlc in testing and will check if others need to be updated too. I think this is the only bug for the rebuild but I'll check to make sure.
