Web camera Logitech QuickCam E2500 doesn't work with the default kernel (2.6.28.5-1).
There is a simple patch that makes the camera work (attached). I have tested it, the patch works well.

There are rumors that this problem will be corrected in 2.6.29, but it would be nice if users of this webcam had it working in 2.6.28 without recompiling kernel on every update.

The easiest way is to wait several days. This bug is in Arch Bug Day TODO list, so I hope it will be fixed at the 21st of March.
If you can't wait, feel free to ask me in jabber for the detailed howto.

Unfortunately, it is not. I even do not know how to force the process. You may vote for the bug, may be it will help.
As a temporary solution, you may rebuild your kernel from ABS sources. There are several methods discussed in the wiki. Perhaps, the easiest one is to use "yaourt -Sb kernel26". In the middle of process (after sources are unpacked and before the build starts) edit linux-2.6.28/drivers/media/video/gspca/zc3xx.c according to the patch.

Kernel 2.6.29 is now in core, webcam works with it.

It seems that you have a different camera, as my lsusb is
Bus 006 Device 002: ID 046d:089d Logitech, Inc.
If you look at the patch, it is for USB_DEVICE(0x046d, 0x089d).

Which one of your USB devices is a web camera?

I think there is a pretty high chance that simple addition of another IDs should solve this, but obviously the patch should be sent upstream.

What is the status of the issue with the kernel 2.6.30 from testing?

If someone still has a problem with webcam - I highly suggest to report it to bugzilla.kernel.org or LKML. We cannot do much here.
