Description:
Session starts, but at each right mouse click or left on panel it crashes showing kdm login.

Additional info:
* package version(s): all 4.2.0-1
* config and/or log files etc:
blank configuration, empty cache in /tmp and /var/tmp

No errors in Xorg.0.log
AIGLX is on
DRI is on

Hardware:
P4 2GHz
Ram 512 Mb
ATI Radeon 9600
Mb ASUS P4EX

Could you try the vesa driver instead of the one by ATI?

It works with vesa driver.
Then I have reused radeon (I have never used fglrx driver) whithout any option and KDE did not cash, now I can't use desktop effects.
The following configuration is working (without effects):
