Details

Description: Currently, in order to install telepathy-haze, all of pidgin is required as a dependency. Pidgin shouldn't be required in order to make good use of another instant messenger like empathy. It would make sense to split libpurple from the pidgin package.

Less importantly, finch is the less commonly used console ui included with pidgin. Splitting finch from the pidgin package would provide greater convenience and allow some to only install what they use.

Maybe I will do this when makepkg supports split packages. Closing for now.

I looked at this with wonder, 2 weeks ago, and the only way to do this is to build everything and remove extra dirs from $pkgdir after build. I don't like this.
Makefile should be patched and patch are welcome.
