Feel free to take a crack at it. There's a number of dependencies for ffmpeg, so you'll need to make sure others do their rebuilds in extra.

This is a particularly time-consuming package because there's no formal releases-- just "vintage" subversion revisions. It's hard to find a good stable one.

Aaron: Do you want me to implement this. I might need to use a more recent snapshot ( FS#11811 ). I could also fix  FS#12741  at the same time.

It looks like the ffmpeg in testing already has png support. Hugo: Could you test and confirm?
