Why do you think this is a bug? This was done on purpose.

Pierre recommended I submit a bug report http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=393437#p393437

Just a node: I am not the maintainer of phpmyadmin. ;-) My suggestion was to install php-stuff into /usr/share.

No phpmyadmin is in community. Sergej is the maintainer. Is only phpmyadmin the problem here?

I know Pierre. If you were, you would have fixed it :-)
Dolby, I am not in front of my machine, but as per the link in my submission, I think phppgadmin is in the same situation if I go by the comments posted on the package page. Sergej is maintainer for both.

Oh, OK i thought your problem was with both apache and phpmyadmin. moved to community. Someone please assign it to Sergej.

I think this is not a bug. Phpmyadmin can work with many web servers (not only with apache) which installs document root into different places.

As a workaround I recommend create a virtual directory to phpmyadmin in apache config.

Also arch have no web package policy.

arch-independent like phpmyadmin- and phppgadmin- scripts should be installed to /usr/share according to the above thread
